Rodann RC 8 motion-activated wireless door chime

The Rodann RC 8 uses an infrared motion sensor to detect movement and send a wireless alert to its receiver. Designed for business entrance alerts, it helps you hear when someone arrives while you work away from the doorway. The RC 8 Set with AC Adapter option lets you power the transmitter without changing batteries.

The following descriptions explain the accessory options. Check your selected option before ordering; do not assume every accessory described below is included in the RC 8 set.

Battery adapter

An adapter option is available for customers who do not want to use or replace a transmitter battery.

Timer

The timer connects to the 12-volt relay on the back of the receiver when an extended output is needed. Output settings are 2, 5 or 10 minutes, or indefinitely. It can operate a lamp, a series of lights, a siren or another accessory up to a maximum of 250 watts. This timer was originally made by Design Tech, then STI.

Important: The pictured plug/connector is cut off to accommodate 12-volt relays.

Strobe light

A visual alert option for people with hearing loss or for noisy environments. Amber is recommended for this purpose. The strobe flashes 90 times per minute and may be used with a 12-volt relay.

• Simple two-wire installation; continues functioning as a powering battery drains.
• Low current consumption, with an operating lifespan of over 300 continuous hours (2,000,000 flashes).
• Amber, blue, clear or red lens choices.

• Operating temperature: -22°F to 140°F (-30°C to 60°C).

Mini strobe/siren

• Synchronized piezo siren and LED.
• Single-gang box or surface mounting.
• High-impact plastic casing.
• Weatherproof for indoor and outdoor use.
• Simple two-wire connection.
• Siren output: 110 dB at 1 foot (30 cm), at 12 VDC.
• Operating voltage: 6–15 VDC.
• Current draw: 90 mA at 12 VDC.

Rotating/flashing LED strobe with 100 dB siren

• Operating life over 50,000 hours (over 5.7 years).
• Simple two-wire installation.
• High-impact case and high-impact, heat-resistant lens.
• Weather-resistant construction and reverse-polarity protection.
