If you are looking for the longest transmission range mail alert system we know of , look no further . 

The Reliable Chimes , Model MA 1, is capable of a transmission range of up to 4000 feet. 

We like to use a rule of about half to come up with  a realistic distance . 

The transmitter will activate via the opening of the mail box. When the mail box is opened the magnetic switch will activate and transmit a wireless signal up  to 4000 feet away . The receiver will be connected to the alert system via a form "C" relay causing any one of numerous accessories to chime or light up. 

We will use an LED to light up . When your mail is picked up then a reset switch ( by means of a toggle switch ) will be used to set up the mail alert for its next use. 

Additional receivers may be purchased for other locations .
